For installation, you can use the Red Hat Package Management (RPM) program--or the new to Linux 6.0 GnoRPM. (The booklet that comes with Power Tools explains how to use both.) Most users will probably like the graphical user interface of GnoRPM compared with RPM's command line interface, since the GUI allows you to select a package and view a brief description of its contents.
Power Tools is most useful for developers and serious users, with a large number of the programs only of interest to programmers, mathematicians, and people who need advanced statistical programs to analyze their data. Included with this version of Power Tools is an extra CD, the Linux Library. This CD contains a huge amount of Linux, X-windows and development documentation.
